CASE STUDIES
Making your woodlands profitable is key, whilst acknowledging the importance of biodiversity and sustainability. Our team has a proven track record in delivering on our promises and maximising returns.
Here are some interesting case studies, to show you how:

Llanover Estate has 315 hectares of woodlands which the company has managed for over 20 years. Following a review of land use on the Estate the decision was taken to create 60 hectares of new woodlands planting marginal land which was declining in profitability.
The Powis and Lymore Estates have 600 hectares of mixed woodlands in Powys and Shropshire. The woods comprise a wide mix of species and include areas of high-quality oak and Douglas fir managed to produce premium logs. There are several shoots, a resident deer population in the Welshpool woods and the Estate runs a firewood enterprise using Estate labour.

The Gatley Estate is a lowland Estate with 160 hectares of mixed woods. The woods are an important part of the landscape with access and topography adding to the management challenge.
Wrington Warren Wood comprises 78 hectares of late rotation conifers interspersed with areas of beech and other mixed broadleaves. The wood was purchased by a construction company as an investment and an opportunity to meet its environmental governance requirements through an active management programme.
