FOREST CERTIFICATION
We run a Group Forest Certification Scheme through the UK Woodland Assurance Scheme (UKWAS). It provides owners and timber processors with an internationally recognised standard which demonstrates that their woodlands are managed ethically and sustainably.
UKWAS certified woods can give greater access to the timber markets and, for some timber products, result in a price premium too. In addition, certification helps owners demonstrate they are meeting their environmental, social and corporate governance commitments.

Gap reports to assess where changes are needed to comply with the UKWAS standard

Inclusion in the Bronwin & Abbey group scheme

Working with owners to ensure compliance with all of the UKWAS standard rules

Ensuring that all forestry related contracts, instructions, risk assessments & site monitoring are compliant

Undertaking an annual audit with the Soil Association on behalf of our group members.
