Position Summary:

 

We are seeking a part or full time, organised and proactive Finance & Administration Assistant with hands-on experience supporting accounting and administration to join our team in Llandrindod Wells.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently with some involvement in finance and accounting administration, working closely with and reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Administrative Support:

 

  • Provide general administrative support to the office, including handling phone calls, managing shared email accounts, and organising meetings.

  • Maintain organised and up-to-date filing systems for financial and administrative records.

  • Assist in the coordination of travel arrangements and accommodation for staff.

  • Maintaining accurate records for the company vehicle fleet, ensuring servicing, MOTs, and compliance documentation are up to date.

  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation

 

2. Financial Assistance:

 

  • Assist finance manager with day-to-day tasks: collate, analyse and interpret data related to the timber harvesting, produce internal financial reports using Excel format spreadsheets, assist with generating sales and purchase invoices.

  • Support basic data entry for finance and accounting records

  • Respond to supplier and customer enquiries and liaising with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently

  • Oversee the stock control process and assist the finance manager to ensure that all physical stock reconciles to our system stock.

  • Assist with preparation for annual accounting audit.

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information

  • A good understanding of financial administration or accounts processes, as well as experience or working knowledge of accounting software, with a willingness to learn new systems. (Netsuite)

  • It is desirable that you hold a qualification or are committed to furthering your professional development.
