WOODLAND CARBON
We will work with you to realise the benefits of woodland carbon sequestered by your new woodland creation scheme.

Woodland carbon is a new asset class for owners creating new woodlands. The sequestered carbon can either be used to help you reach net zero in your own business or the carbon units can be sold on the open market.
Bronwin & Abbey is a registered Project Developer with the Woodland Carbon Code. We will ensure your carbon units are correctly processed through either a group scheme or your own bespoke scheme. We can add your new woodland creation to the UK Land Carbon Registry and on your behalf undertake the validation and verification processes for auditing by the Soil Association.
As part of our independent service we will advise you on the options for realising the value of your carbon units.
Our services include:
-
Registering the scheme on the UK Land Carbon Registry
-
Submitting an application for validation of the scheme which includes calculating the carbon units using a set process under the Woodland Carbon Code standard
-
At year 5 and thereafter at 10-year intervals we can evaluate crop performance and therefore the amount of carbon sequestered by measuring crop growth and working with the auditors to accurately establish the number of carbon units attributed to your scheme.
