About Us
The company has a reputation for the professionalism
of its work, its capacity to deliver a work programme on time and to budget with
an ability to enable an owner to realise a diversity of management objectives.
Established
in 1996 we have a wide range of clients, including private Estates, absentee
woodland owners, local authorities and NGOs.
At the heart of the client portfolio is the management of private Estates.
Our success is reflected by the long-term
nature of our involvement in many Estates. On these properties we prepare budgets,
implement agreed work programmes, employ and supervise contractors and negotiate
with the Forestry Commission.
Acknowledging
the difficulties of making some woodlands profitable we focus on keeping costs
to a minimum whilst maximising returns from timber sales, on site added value, and Government grants.
The
company employs a team of qualified forest managers based in Powys, Shropshire
and Herefordshire. Managers are professional members of the Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF). We
provide up to date and accurate advice; we are in touch with current UK
Government and Welsh Government policies; we deal regularly with existing and
developing timber markets; we are informed about disease and climate change
implications and we are expert at deriving best value from forestry grant
schemes.
